Lynne AtkinsonMy name is Lynne Atkinson and I am an Independent Rehabilitation Consultant helping individuals and families adapt to life-changing events by providing rehabilitation, understanding, guidance and ongoing support.

With a BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde, I specialise in helping those with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and have devoted my career to Cognitive and Vocational Rehabilitation, Behavioural Support and Training.

Having worked initially with Enable then, most recently, Headway, a charity specialising in providing support and rehabilitation for individuals with an ABI, my experience has cemented my belief that, along with early intervention, having the correct support, advice and access to services is invaluable to families and can positively influence the rehabilitation process.

I am dedicated to continuing my work both with individuals who have an ABI and those working to support them (e.g. families, unpaid carers, employers and the social care sector), for whom I deliver tailored Acquired Brain Injury, Challenging Behaviour and Vocational Rehabilitation training. By helping families and support teams to better understand the behaviours and consequences a life-changing injury can bring, my goal is to help people see what can be achieved, making life better for all involved.
